Episode 1 is built around Colonel Howard Vyse's 1837 discovery inside the Great Pyramid's relieving chambers: a painted cartouche naming Khufu, and the only hard evidence anywhere connecting the pyramid to its supposed builder. Whether it's genuine or a Victorian forgery has been argued for the better part of two centuries. The verdict doesn't try to settle that argument — it doesn't need to. Genuine or fake, nobody has ever put the actual paint marks through a scientific test in roughly 200 years. That's the indictment, and it holds regardless of which side you land on.
What's left is finishing the actual production. More soon.
